About Bar BS Ranch
Bar BS Ranch is family-owned ranch in Glenham, South Dakota, operated by Bill and Stephanie Bennis. Bill and I were both raised on farms and have been around horses all their lives. We first started raising colts in the mid 1990's. We wanted a stallion that was running bred for speed in our arena prospects. We got a jewel in Juno Blast Cash. He had an A+ disposition and cow sense too. He was the foundation of our breeding program. We added other stallions to outcross on his mares and to add to the broodmare band. We were lucky to get sons of Docs Prescription and On The Money Red. Radar was added later to bring color and quality Driftwood bloodlines to the mix. We have many nice mares out of them that are great assets to our breeding program.
Unfortunately, we lost Juno in 2013. We found three great horses to replace him. Free Company, a AAA black stallion; Hijo The Jolla, a AAA palomino, and WR Lets Jet a promising race bred colt. With the broodmares we raised out of our past stallions and some recent race bred additions, we begin a new chapter, but continue the tradition of fast horses with good dispositions.
We also raise Aussies. They were great assets when we had cattle and are great loyal companions even now that the cattle are gone. Since our company opened its doors in 2006, we’ve treated every customer like they were a part of our family. Other companies may offer similar services, but our services are the best, and come with a personal touch.
